J. King White
Connector and Community Engagement Strategist
A generation ago, after earning my degree from Elon University, I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina to join the team that would bring cellular wireless telephony to NC's Research Triangle region (details). My career in marketing and business development roles with Verizon and with AT&T spanned nearly two decades. By constantly innovating, my colleagues and I helped build the vital wireless framework of today's digital world.
Today I devote my professional and personal bandwidth to encourage today's innovation thought leaders and to support progressive and economic development initiatives which move our community forward. I'm hardwired to help those with good ideas succeed, and my vocation is altruism -- I strive to pay forward the lessons of my career success.
I support a variety of public, for-profit, and non-profit interests through a deliberate strategy involving volunteerism, advocacy, community service, and individual mentoring.
